10 Players Newcastle Have ALREADY Missed Out On This Summer
3. Tom Cleverley
Proof of transfer rumour: http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/06/rubbish-newcastle-transfer-news-62-targets-74-days-to-go/ A man reborn at Aston Villa. Tom Cleverley completed a free transfer to Everton not too long after the 2014/15 season ending. The midfielder was never good enough to play for Manchester Untied but as he showed at Villa Park last season, once he regained his confidence, that he is a man that could have done more than a decent job at a lower level. Someone like Newcastle would have suited him down to the ground. There's little doubting that there is a need for midfield reinforcements in the Newcastle squad. Moussa Sissoko and Cheick Tiote could well leave the club, Ryan Taylor and Jonas Gutierrez have been released while Messrs Anita and Abeid are blatantly viewed as not good enough by the powers that be. Well, they were by John Carver at least and he's the best around... This leaves stalwart Jack Colback as the only central midfielder worthy of pulling on the black and white shirt next term.
