Following the aforementioned transfer to Middlesbrough of Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink, Kezman arrived at Stamford Bridge in 2004 from PSV Eindhoven. He made an instant impact, scoring four goals in 25 league appearances and won the Premier League and League Cup in his first season with the club. However, the Serbian was dissatisfied with his playing time and agreed to join Atletico Madrid at the end of the campaign. Unfortunately, a knee injury wrecked his career at Atletico and he was sold after just 12 months in Spain, and has since flitted from Fenerbahçe, Paris Saint-Germain and Zenit Saint Petersburg in a short space of time while Chelsea went on to win silverware. Kezman later admitted he regretted leaving, saying:
"Living and playing in London was something that I will never forget. I don't know if I made a mistake because I moved away so quickly. Maybe I do and maybe I don't regret it, but I always believe in my decisions. But the transfer to Chelsea made my dreams come true. That was the best thing that ever happened to me."
Kezman retired in 2012 with minnows South China.
