He was - and still is - a fans' favourite at St James' Park, so why would he regret his time at the club? Despite a great start at the Magpies which saw him score several outstanding solo efforts, the French forward's career on Tyneside began to sour as it came to an end under Alan Pardew. The manager obviously thought he was a luxury he could do without, whereas the fans were adamant the he should be the side's main threat. Seen as a bad apple, Pardew decided it was best for Ben Arfa to ply his trade elsewhere, and when nothing came of that, he found himself training with the under 21s - a move which clearly damaged Ben Arfa's own big ego. Believing he should be representing one of the world's top clubs, Ben Arfa's attitude has been his downfall throughout his career, but it's good to see him lighting up the French league once more with current club Nice as it would be a shame if his undeniable talent was hidden from the world.
