Over the past decade, Arsenal have experienced some turbulent seasons. Prior to the latter FA Cup runs from the tail-end Arsene Wenger's tenure, the Emirates' trophy cabinet had been balder than Phil Mitchel€™l's head and the Gunners' lack of silverware was becoming a running joke among other football fans. They may not have experienced the unparalleled success they had at the start of the century when the likes of Robert Pirès, Dennis Bergkamp and Thierry Henry dominated the league, but Arsenal always seem to have a habit of being the team which top players regret leaving. On so many occasions we have seen world class footballers go to seek greener pastures away from the Emirates (or Highbury) only to regret the financially-motivated decision. Arsenal may not promise the glamour of some other clubs but they are always nearing the standard of title contenders and €have showb the ability to play mesmerising football.
