10 Popular UFC Fighters That Will Never Be Champion

4. Nick Diaz

Current Middleweight, 26-9 (1 NC), Age 31 Diaz the Elder is the most confusing fighter in the world. He says he can beat anyone, runs his mouth even when not asked, then shuns attention, then doesn€™t do what is required of him to prove himself against the best, then somehow gets super fights coming off of huge losses. Now, he says that he is going to fight at three different weight classes, Lightweight, Welterweight, and Middleweight upon his return to the Octagon. Younger than he seems, he has packed a ton of fights into his career and been the champion of WEC and Strikeforce. Here is the greatest question though, who is he really going to beat at this point? Yeah, he is a talented boxer, but if Silva€™s leg holds up, does anyone thing he can actually touch the Spider? In fact, looking at the top three contenders of three classes he wants to fight in, Diaz probably wouldn€™t be the favorite against many of them. And who has he really beaten in the past? Look, he is an excellent boxer for MMA and that will always give him a bit of a chance, but there are a metric ton of top wrestlers in his way to a belt. For some reason, he attracts a massive amount of a certain type of fan but the hard facts say that rabid, frothing fans are not enough to get a belt.
