10 Premier League Transfers That Would Change Everything
1. Lionel Messi
Come on, how could he not be number one? Lionel Messi is the kind of player most of us will tell our grandkids about. A sensational passer, dribbler, goal scorer and tackler it seems the only thing that Messi cannot do well is his taxes.
To have a player like Messi in the Premier League, to see how he fares on a weekly basis in the UK is something many people dream of. Sadly it seems as though perhaps he will never make it. Like Gerrard, he remains fiercely loyal to the team that gave him his first great opportunity.
As long as the backroom situation at Barca remains favourable, there is very little to suggest Messi will be on his way out. There is an outside chance that when he is 39 and has bad knees he might come to the Premier League just to see what it is all about, but the chances of him coming in his prime are slim, unless somehow English teams start making some headway in the Champions League (without parking the bus and leaving Drogba alone up front to poach a goal) for once.
