10 Reasons England Will Win The World Cup 2014

1. The Omen

It feels like the stars have aligned for the 2014 World Cup in such a way that England must win. As well as the statistic we revealed earlier about Liverpool players, there are a plethora of uncanny coincidences that portend that England must win. The first and last time England won the World Cup all those years ago in 1966, Real Madrid won the European Cup (the equivalent of the Champions League), Athletico Madrid won the Spanish League, the winner of the FA cup came back from a two goal deficit, Manchester United failed to finish in the top three and Fulham finished in the bottom three. Weirdly, all those specific events have repeated themselves this year €“ England WILL win and this is NOT a coincidence. It genuinely feels like fate is trying to tell us something here. These bizarre omens are corroborated by the aforementioned research of the eggheads over at Deutsche Bank. The bank speculated that England is the only team to have won the tournament but to have never subsequently; statistically speaking it is extremely unlikely that our team can go for much longer without at least reaching a final.
