After the incident at UFC 113 where he punched Koscheck after the bell, Dana said that Daley was done forever in the UFC. At a media scrum for UFC on FUEL TV 7 back in February 2013, his stance had softened a little. He seemed more welcoming to the idea, while still hesitant. Then obviously there has been this movement in 2014 to get Daley back in the UFC. His legal trouble that halted his progress with Bellator likely played into the UFC president's mind while considering having Daley back but that hasn't stopped people from having a career with them. Jimi Manuwa has only fought for the company while inside the UK due to visa issues as he had been in jail earlier in his life. It just serves as a fresh reminder for Dana that Paul can still lose his cool. If he did let Daley back into the UFC, it would be a huge gesture on his part and Paul would need to earn recognition and show people that he has grown up and can still entertain people while also being an ambassador for the country and the company.
