6. Super Bowl 47 Non-Call
While calling a game wrong can be bad, not calling it at all can be far worse. Just ask the San Francisco 49ers about this past year's Super Bowl. It seemed that the Ravens could do no wrong, and Ray Lewis was destined for greatness. But after one of the weirdest blackouts in playoffs history, the 49ers were set to make a comeback. Late in the fourth quarter, down 34-31, the 49ers were set to even beat the Ravens. And then Michael Crabtree gets held, and quarterback Colin Kaepernick's throw goes out of the end zone. Everyone who wasn't a Ravens fan was screaming at the refs. One of the most classic cases of pass interference, on the most televised sports event in history, and you don't call it? This cost the 49ers a ring, and instead gave it to the Ravens, and Joe Flacco is suddenly one of the greatest quarterbacks in the league. How does this even make sense?
