10 Ridiculously Successful UFC Stars With Boring Fight Styles

10. Randy Couture

wikiwikiFormer heavyweight and light heavyweight champion Randy €œThe Natural€ Couture is a legendary figure and unquestionably a Hall of Famer. He€™s partaken in some of the biggest marquee fights in history, with his trilogy vs. Chuck Liddell, his comeback title win over Tim Sylvia and his loss to Brock Lesnar all being some of UFC€™s most anticipated matchups of all-time. For all the accolades we can toss Randy€™s way, never let it be said that he set the world on fire with a barnstorming style full of fisticuffs and mayhem. Couture employed a very deliberate and focused attack, consisting mostly of grabbing a guy and leaning against the fence for 15 minutes, with occasional spurts of dirty boxing thrown in to make Joe Rogan lose his mind with enthusiasm. The most thrilling moments in Couture fights usually come with Randy on the losing end, such as Machida€™s front kick to the face or Lesnar€™s bear-pawed beatddown. That€™s not to disparage The Natural€™s lofty status amongst mixed martial arts lore, but he gets far more credit than he deserves when it comes to the quality of his fights. His popularity can never be questioned, however, and he earned his status one gruelingly-long 15 minute cage-hugging session at a time.
