10 Shocking Incidents Luis Suarez Wants You To Forget

4. Stabbing Liverpool In The Back

You might have expected Suarez to reward Liverpool and Rodger's blind defence of him, you might have expected a bit of humble silence. No chance. In the summer of 2013, Suarez announced he wanted OUT of Liverpool. "I gave absolutely everything last season. Now all I want is for Liverpool to honour our agreement," Suarez told The Guardian. "Last year I had the opportunity to move to a big European club and I stayed on the understanding that if we failed to qualify for the Champions League the following season I'd be allowed to go." Astonishingly it later emerged that the club Suarez was trying to engineer a move to was none other than Liverpool's Premier League rivals Arsenal. It was unthinkable, Liverpool offers you so much support, then you turn around and go behind their back to the press to say you want to leave? The other laughable thing about this was that Suarez was going to the press, the very same people he had decried for mistreating him. Liverpool were stunned, they didn't want Suarez to leave, they especially didn't want him to leave to Arsenal. He ended up getting tied down to a new contract, money talks. However, just before his World Cup 2014 incident, Suarez became odds on to leave Liverpool in the summer of 2014. It looks like he's turning his back on the club again, with the press being 'informed' that a deal to Real Madrid of Barcelona is likely. Once again it appears that the star is using the press (who he supposedly hates so much) to help make his way out of Anfield.
