Premier League: 10 Shocking Transfers That Could Happen In January

January 1 not only saw the dawn of a New Year but also the swinging open of the transfer window for another month. Twice a year, football clubs scurry around for last minute deals, basement bargains and much-needed additions to help with their respective ambitions. And, while the January window has the tendency to be relatively low-key, with value for money a problem and Champions League competition rendering certain individuals ineligible, there could yet be a few shocks. £120 million was splashed out on new signings in the last winter window, the fourth-biggest total since its inception back in 2003. If we witness a similarly-large outlay this month, we're all in for a treat, and perhaps one side could land that decisive blow in the title race or stave off relegation. As always, it's important to separate the fact from the fiction during what has been dubbed by many as "silly season", but that's not to say we're ruling out the sensational stories out there. With January in its infancy, there are plenty of twists and turns to come yet, with over three weeks of business still to come. And here, we bring to you 10 Shocking Transfers That Could Happen In January.
