8. Mike Tyson Bites Evander Holyfield's Ear Off (Boxing)
Admittedly, this injury is in no way as breakfast-recalling as a great deal of others on this list. But what it does have going for it is two things. First, it was extremely high profile, between two giants of the sport. And second, just look at the expression on Holyfield's face as it happens. That man is an enormous hulk, who is trained to both dish out and take an incredible amount of pain, and he's reduced to a frantic jumping around dance as Tyson rips off a piece of his ear with his teeth. As far as immediate pain goes, I'd be willing to bet that that one stung like hell. It's sickening not only because Tyson has flown in the face of sportsmanship, but has done so in front of an audience of millions. Furthermore, the act is so animalistic and brutal that if you were to put yourself in Holyfield's gigantic boots, it sends shivers up and down your spine. What makes the whole incident even more bizarre was the fact that in earlier rounds, Tyson was almost disqualified for biting Holyfield's ear, but the latter assured officials he could continue, making the fact that Tyson went one step further seem even more despicable.
