Danny Rose has, rather surprisingly, been one of Spurs' stand-out players this season. When Ben Davies was signed from Swansea City, Rose's assumed relegation to the bench was almost inevitable, but he has knuckled down admirably and fended off the challenge of the Welsh international. While Rose isn't the greatest defensive player in the world, he gives his all and has actually been one of Spurs' most potent attacking threats this season. As a result of his efforts, he received his first England call-up in August - something he couldn't have possibly imagined just a few weeks prior. If every player at the club was as committed to Spurs as Rose, there's no way they'd be performing so poorly.
