Three Lions fans may have repressed a certain memory of England's pre-World Cup friendly against Chile in November 2013. That evening, at Wembley no less, Sanchez scored both goals as Chile ran out convincing 2-0 winners over Roy Hodgson's side. In scoring a brace for his country, the forward emulated Chilean legend Marcelo Salas who, fifteen years earlier, also scored a double against the Three Lions. With 37 goals, Salas is Chile's all-time record goalscorer, though Sanchez looks well-placed to beat that tally having already notched 24 goals for his country.
