2. Conor McGregor Backed Up The Talk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RIRYo6XCgVI A lot of people were questioning whether Conor McGregor was overhyped going into UFC Fight Night 46 in Dublin against Cole Miller. Then Miller dropped out and was replaced by former TUF champion Diego Brandao. This switch was actually seen by many as a tougher fight, but to be honest, Brandao may not be the beast we all though he was once upon a time. Whether you think of Brandao as a potential killer in the cage or not, however - Conor McGregor backed up his talk Saturday night. Brandao didn't seem comfortable in the octagon with the cocky Irish fighter from the second he first got hit. McGregor then proceeded to do exactly what he had promised, and knocked Brandao out in the very first round. It doesn't completely prove McGregor is a legit top ten fighter, and he needs at least two more fights, both with top ten guys, before he is gifted the title shot he's been asking for. Despite that, it will calm most of the critics for now, as McGregor put on a great show - and it's getting harder and harder to ignore him.
