That seems to discount the fact that he trains with Gunnar Nelson, a fantastic grappler who also happens to be two weight classes above McGregor's current division, featherweight. Nelson himself has a headlining fight coming up in Sweden, and the Icelandic submission ace is considered a rising star in the welterweight division. We don't doubt that McGregor has picked up a trick or two from him. Just because we haven't seen anything from him on the ground thus far in the UFC doesn't mean he can't handle things when the fight goes there.
