10 Things You Can Only Experience At A UFC Live Event

There's a reason the UFC plays Drowning Pool's Let the Bodies Hit the Floor so often. Because when the bodies do hit the floor in the octagon, the crash that accompanies the moment is earth-rattling.

So much of the UFC live experience is about seeing with your own eyes, and - more often than not - hearing with your own ears. The floor of the octagon isn't spring-loaded, there's no give, and a big slam will easily knock the wind out of a combatant. Fighters like Quinton 'Rampage' Jackson have managed to knock opponents out by slamming them to the ground. It's rare, but always thrilling. Jackson's slam KO of Ricardo Arona back in 2004 remains one of the most memorable moments in the sport's history.

Ergo, one thing you truly only experience at a UFC live event is the impact that comes with these moves. It's not an everyday occurrence — some events, there might not be a single slam. Yet when there is, it gets the crowd going each and every time. It's nearly impossible to stay in your seat — we dare you not to simply be swept up in the pandemonium, leap to your feet and roar with the rest of the masses.

You'll never get the same impact watching the battle on TV. And if you do leap to your feet, your mates will probably just look at you funny.
