10 Things You Can Only Experience At A UFC Live Event

Television is never a good indicator of how hot a crowd is on any given night. At any sporting event. It's especially true of the UFC, who tend to let the crowd noise take a back seat to the announce team. For good reason, given how quick the action can unfold.

Yet it does a disservice to the live experience in the end. It's simply one that can't be avoided.

From Dublin, Ireland to Atlantic City, New Jersey, there have been some incredibly loud crowds for UFC events. This is especially true of international cards, where stars like Conor McGregor (Ireland), Georges St. Pierre (Canada), or Anderson Silva (Brazil) thrill fans in their home countries. Nothing gets the fans going like a home town superstar. It also works stateside, especially when a fighter is in his own back yard. Case in point, former lightweight champ Frankie Edgar brought the house down during his bout with Cub Swanson in AC.

And should a particularly vile villain come to challenge the home town hero in front of his loyal fans (think Chael Sonnen, or Colby Covington these days)? Well, things are bound to get even louder. Bring your ear plugs, because you may just need them!
