10 Things You May Not Have Known About The Kansas City Royals

9. There Is A Tunnel Connecting Kauffman Stadium And Arrowhead Stadium

In some cities where there is both an NFL team and a MLB team, the teams are forced to share a stadium. In the case of Kansas City, the Chiefs play at Arrowhead Stadium, which is literally across the parking lot from the Royals' home of Kauffman Stadium.

While the two KC stadiums are entirely separate venues, they are actually physically connected. I had the chance to see a tunnel connecting the two stadiums, which can actually bring you from home plate in Kauffman to the 50-yard line of Arrowhead.

This tunnel is regularly used by employees for entrance purposes beyond transporting food and trash. But interestingly this area can also serve as a tornado shelter.
