8. Mayweather Vs. McGregor Will Probably Hurt Business

This will be a common theme over the next couple of months, affecting everything from UFC 213 to Golovkin vs. Alvarez in September.

UFC 213 is lacking a little star power, though both of Nunes' last fights did over a million buys with her in the main event. Granted, she was likely a benefactor rather than a cause, but her slim chances of a three-peat will be hurt even more under the shadow of the super-fight. You'd hope those who bought UFC 200 and UFC 207 got something out of her performances and decide to stick around to see if she can keep on mowing girls down. Part of Rousey's appeal was how quickly she'd dismantle her opponents, and Nunes is trending down a similar path.

Regardless, especially in a down year for the UFC, everything is being squeezed by the build to August 26th. This will be UFC's first pay-per-view since the fight announcement, and it'll be very interesting to see how many buys it can generate.

This weekend might be early enough to escape the collateral damage, but Mayweather vs. McGregor is a wrecking ball right now.
