10 Twitter Accounts Every Sports Fan Must Follow

9. Information With A Dash Of Entertainment

Darren Rovell Profile

The next twitter account that is recommended is the account of Darren Rovell @darrenrovell. Darren is a sporting business analyst and is often willing to contribute on the ins and outs of the sporting business. Darren tweets about facts and figures that you never thought you wanted to know, but eventually found out that you feel better off once knowing them.

What's good about Darren Rovell as a journalist is he is more than willing to add depth to other journalists investigations and he isn't a specialist in a particular sport. Darren will mention basketball, baseball, race cars- if its fast, if its popular and its competitive; he will comment.

His tweets (though only 140 characters) add context that some other sports analysts do not offer, and this can pose thoughtful debate amongst his followers. They are often found discussing issues AND getting replies. These replies can be simple one-word answers to queries or they can be more in-depth analysis or simple links to other articles. What's great though is that Darren is willing to engage and participate with his followers.

Not as many followers as item number 10, but an interesting follow if you are interested in the back story of your favourite sport!
