Why it Sucks: I just think its unfortunate that Olympic Wrestling shares a name with its Pro brother, while being around 10% as entertaining. So pro-wrestling is fake; you cant argue with those viewing figures. Obviously the actual sport of Olympic Wrestling is a fine art and competitors spend their lives striving to achieve the standard theyre at in the Games, but that doesnt necessarily deliver the entertainment value to your average layman. How to Make it More Exciting: The new Olympic Wrestling now includes fictional feuds a la WWE, which supplement the actual performance of the sport. The act of wrestling remains exactly the same same rules, same methods - the only difference is that it now happens at the culmination of a riotously over the top storyline. Potential Issues: Theres probably an issue in the money thatd need to be spent on the addition of these storylines and I cant imagine that many of the Olympic Wrestlers are quite at the top of their league in terms of acting but hey, the same applies for the WWE and theyre not exactly bankrupt yet.
