9. UFC Lightweight Proposes At Weigh-In

That's what Alex Nicholson did, and his girlfriend - now fiance, really - is proudly wearing the engagement ring. That said, maybe it was the wrong time to propose. Maybe it's a sign his head wasn't in the game. Because the following night, he was badly beaten by opponent Misha Cirkunov, and his jaw - which had just recently healed from a previous fight - broken once again. Ouch. Hopefully they don't look back on the engagement as a jinx.
