10 Worst Footballing Decisions Celtic Ever Made

8. Playing Evander Sno On A Regular Basis

Remember Evander Sno? No? He was this Dutch guy who played for Celtic under Gordon Strachan, and the reason you don't remember him is because every time he got the ball he sent you to sleep. Evander Sno is known as one of the boring Celtic have ever purchased. Dubbed as a young prodigy, Sno was brought in by Strachan from Feyenoord in 2006, and was slotted straight into the starting line-up. He made a promising debut against St Mirren, but sustained a sincere lack of confidence when on the ball. When at home, Celtic fans regularly felt the need to actually shout instructions to him; he would receive the ball, and need at least 5 or 6 seconds to decide whether to pass or run somewhere with the ball, before being closed down by 3 or 4 players. He was perfect for slowing the game down, but Celtic is a club that is meant to entertain. Despite the clear frustration from the fans regarding Sno, Strachan continued to play him on a regular basis, and is one of the few reasons that the fans never truly warmed to Gordon Strachan despite the fact he was the first Celtic manager to win 3 league titles in a row since Jock Stein. Strachan was very sure of himself, but the fans didn't always see it that way - this being one of those cases.

As a recent university graduate and a huge supporter of Celtic FC, what better way to use my inevitable free time to write about my favourite football team? I'll cover most things that the supporters are talking about at the moment, which includes things that directly and indirectly involve the club. At times I may also stray into matters concerning English clubs.
