Steven Gerrard is a clear candidate to join the Premier League's Hall of Fame.

The former England midfielder spent every senior year of his career bar one playing for Liverpool in the Premier League in a career that stretched from 1998-2016. Initially, fans and even Gerrard himself thought he was out of depth in the Liverpool first team in his younger years, but management gave him time to mature and develop as a player. This gamble would pay off as he became a true club legend.

Gerrard made over 500 appearances for Liverpool and is one of just thirteen players to surpass this landmark in the Premier League era. In this time, he scored an impressive tally of 120 goals before joining MLS side LA Galaxy in 2015 for one season.

Although Gerrard never won the Premier League, he is still an iconic figure in the league's history and a worthy candidate to join its Hall of Fame.
