11 Reasons Spurs Fans Should Be Concerned

9. Erik Lamela Is Yet To Score A Premier League Goal

Last season, £30 million club record signing Erik Lamela had a horrid time. He failed to perform, only scored a single goal (against Moldovan minnows FC Sheriff), was mostly used as a substitute when he did play and spent the majority of the season out with a supposed back injury. This season was expected to be the one in which he started to make an impact. The young Argentina international attacking midfielder has had time to settle and his social media activity during pre-season saw him looking much more like part of the team and he was clearly excited to get started. He's started the season fairly well - having scored a couple of goals in pre-season, his early performances were extremely promising and he has notched a number of assists - but he has yet to score in the Premier League and he has gone a little quiet lately. The longer that goes on, the more likely he will lose confidence, revert to last season's form and fail to repay the enormous fee that was paid for him.
