12 Players You Totally Forgot Played For Sunderland

2. Andy Cole

Andy Cole was one of the strangest signings in recent history. His excellent spells with Newcastle and Manchester United were slowly turned into a journeyman career, with Cole ending up in red and white for a short spell under Roy Keane in 2007 for a final shot at the Premier League. He was reunited with Dwight Yorke, though Cole only made 7 appearances, achieving absolutely nothing and not scoring a single goal before leaving for Burnley on loan, then Nottingham Forest to round off his career in 2008. The Manchester United links were widespread under Keane, and Cole was one of the names many forgot had even played for Sunderland.
