12 Players You Totally Forgot Played For Sunderland

9. Kader Mangane

Nobody really knows enough about Kader Mangane to complete a whole section on him. He came, he went. That was basically it. To this day, nobody really knows whether he was a good defender, bad defender, or a budding left winger. The enormous Senegalese international could've been an alright player, but nobody will ever know. At 6'4", he was never going to get bullied, but it was little Martin O'Neill standing in his way of game time. The Northern Irishman signed Mangane in a January loan move, but he never once featured for him. Instead, Mangane had to wait three months until Paolo Di Canio came in for his debut - a several minute cameo at the end of Sunderland's 3-0 victory over Newcastle. He'll not be remembered badly, he just won't really be remembered.
