13. Fredy Guarín (Shanghai Shenhua)
Though the 11 million fee isn't a blockbuster as such, Fredy Guarín is still a big name in world football. Aged only 29, the central-midfielder had already played in Colombia, Argentina, France, Portugal and Italy before making the move to China. Shanghai Shenhua lured the Colombian from Inter in late January - the club which Didier Drogba and Nicolas Anelka famously played for. This move came as a relative surprise given that Guarin, similarly to compatriot Jackson Martinez, is not coming towards the end of his career.
