12. Your Club Will Stop Giving Local Talent A Proper Chance
What happened to the days when Newcastle United's youth team was bursting at the seams with potential top level players? What happened to the days when an England squad was littered with players from our region? Is this the club's fault? Maybe not. But there's something that the current regime is doing to stop our youngsters breaking through and playing for the first team on a more regular basis that was not happening in past generations. Maybe we should blame the Ameobi brothers for this. The way those two have played during long spells of their respective Newcastle careers is enough to put any regime off giving youth a chance. Instead, the likes of Adam's Campbell and Armstrong especially have been given 10 minutes here and 10 minutes there when the team is one goal down and becoming increasingly desperate for a breakthrough. That needs to change to give 'your club' some identity again.
