6. People Who Insist On Taking The Game Way Too Seriously
Like many of the posts on this list, there is a degree to which this applies. The game needs to be enjoyable rather than feeling like work or feeling militarized. Everyone should be able to play the game they want to play without making anyone else uncomfortable or stepping on their toes too much. Everyone hits bad shots but hopefully there will be a few good shots in each round too. This does not mean that people should not be allowed to take the game seriously if they want, it just should not affect the enjoyment of everyone else's round that day because certain guys want it to be quiet enough to hear the grass grow. Competitions and games played for money are the times when the game should be played seriously. Other than that, at the end of the day it is still just a game so enjoy it.
5. People Who Assume Tiger's Career Is Over When He Misses One Cut
Tiger's record for consecutive tournaments without a missed cut is incredible but it seems to have given him something impossible to live up to. The fact is, most golfers miss several cuts a year and even the top guys averred age just 4 out of 5 cuts for the most part. So, when Tiger misses a cut and the tabloids go crazy it can get really annoying. He is still human and is capable of missing cuts. He is still Tiger Woods and will almost definitely come back to win a tournament or two that year. Golf fans, and fans of Tiger Woods spend an awful lot of time reassuring the rest of the world that he has not disappeared and will not disappear for a good number of years as long as he can stay healthy. Luke Donald - former world number 1 - was the first to admit that when Tiger plays well, everyone else is fighting for second place. With Tiger coming back from injury this week it would be unlikely to see him win, but he will certainly be expecting to make the cut and his short game should be on top form having only been able to chip and putt in recent weeks.
