4. The Ryder Cup Is The Most Exciting Event Of The Sports Calendar
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aRnFdoaPEyY Unfortunately, those who do not play golf or follow golf at all will not have had the experience of watching the Ryder Cup. The loss is theirs. There is rarely a chance in sport for Europe to team up and take on the Americans but that is exactly what happens in the Ryder Cup. The best golfers in the world battle it out for their respective teams and some of the most incredible shots take place during this tournament. The Europeans were dead and buried during the last tournament needing a miracle on the last day to come back and win - but win they did. It was perhaps one of the most epic comebacks in sport and was all sparked by a streak of 6 birdies the day before by Brit Ian Poulter - a Ryder Cup hero. The greatest golfers in history get their chance in the Ryder Cup to be part of a team representing their country in what is otherwise a very solitary game.
3. People Who Say Golf Is Boring To Watch
Nobody likes to hear someone say that the thing they enjoy watching or playing is boring. Like any sport, golf is only exciting to watch if you are following a particular player or following the rankings throughout the season. There have been some amazing tournaments with amazing shots and rivalries throughout the televised history of golf that still make sports highlight reels in amongst the great football goals of all time or the quick stick work in the NHL. Even avid golfers will attest to the fact that the Majors and the Ryder Cup are the main events to watch of the year, but that is still 25 days of excellent golf that needs watching. It is, however, a true testament to a relationship when a significant other will sit quietly and watch the golf with his or her partner without interest in it. Golf can be slow, but it can be incredibly exciting, too. What is more, whether Tiger is one to be loved or loathed, he certainly makes the game a great deal more interesting and exciting to watch.
