15 Worst Premier League Signings Of The 2014/15 Season

5. Emmanuel Riviere - Newcastle (£6,000,000)

Emmanuel Riviere arrived among a slew of signings for Alan Pardew's Newcastle side last summer, but didn't score during the manager's remaining time on Tyneside. It was a bitterly disappointing (and admittedly shocking) underperformance from a man who refused to be overshadowed by Radamel Falcao and James Rodriguez while at Monaco. He finally netted for new boss John Carver in the second last game of the season - the opening goal of a 2-1 defeat at QPR - but must be looked upon as a major disappointment since transferring from Monaco (for a reported £6,000,000, no less).
