Liverpool's acquisition of Adam Lallana looked to be a smart piece of business, even for the inflated price of £25,000,000, but the English midfielder hasn't exactly set Anfield alight in his first season with the Reds. Although a return of 5 goals in 27 games is decent for a midfielder largely tasked with creating chances for others, Lallana failed to have as big an impact expected - and must certainly take a fair share of the blame for Liverpool's disappointing season.
