20 Hardest Football Hardmen Of All Time

18. Julian Dicks

For the man nick-named €˜the Terminator€™, a selection on this list was merely a formality. The Bristol-born hard man was famed for his tough tackling, but also his cultured left peg which often saw him called upon to take free-kicks and penalties. In particular, the 1992-93 season was an eventful one for Dicks, picking up 3 red cards and several more bookings, which saw him miss large parts of the season, and lose the West Ham captaincy, but still was part of the Hammer€™s promotion winning campaign of that season. In total, the four-time West Ham player of the year was sent off 5 times in his West Ham career, and booked on a further 21 occasions before succumbing to injury problems in 1999, and ending a West Ham career in which he played 315 games, and scored an impressive 64 goals.
