20 Key Things We Learned From Newcastle's Fans Forum Minutes

10. McClaren Intends To Get Up Close And Personal With Fans

Steve McClaren's recent flirtatious emails to supporters are going to continue unabated by the looks of things, as this is the club's new policy of communicating with the fans. If this came directly from McClaren himself, or was forced upon him by the club, remains unclear. But still, it will be good to hear from the manager more often - even if it will be heavily censored... The club said of this policy:
"Following Steve McClaren's recent email which was sent directly to supporters, the club outlined changes to how it will be communicating with supporters. "Direct communication to supporters will be a key element and emails will be sent on a regular basis from key individuals within the club. "As part of the club's new strategy, it will communicate with supporters directly so they get the news before anyone else does."
Try to avoid the temptation of marking these emails as spam...
