The old saying about a fine line between genius and madness certainly applies to Eric Cantona. The extremely talented Frenchman made waves upon moving from 1991/92 league champions Leeds to arch rivals Manchester United, where he would become a central figure in arguably the most controversial incident ever seen in the Premier League. In January 1995 he was sent off in a match against Crystal Palace, and while walking towards the tunnel, delivered a flying kick to a Palace fan shouting abuse at him from the stands. He was banned from worldwide competition for eight months and fined £10,000.
