This point isn’t restricted to Tottenham fans, any English football supporter must be a tad envious of Arsenal’s incredible record of not being relegated since 1913.

Arsenal’s is the best record of any team in England. In fact, they’ve remained in the top flight ever since 1919, surpassing the next best record (Everton) by some 35 years. In fairness to Tottenham, they were last relegated way back in the 1970s but that’s still a long way short of the Gunners’ record.

Ironically, their promotion to the top flight came at the expense of Spurs, who had finished above Arsenal in the previous season but were outvoted after a FA recommendation.

With the Reds confirmed as one of Europe’s biggest clubs, their status as a Premier League club is unlikely to come under threat in the foreseeable future, making them the envy of almost every team in the country. It’s yet another bragging right over their north London rivals.
