Miocic faces Junior Dos Santos in December, and if he wins that, he probably gets a title shot. However, what happens if JDS wins? This is a bit of an odd fight: Dos Santos has lost badly to Cain Velasquez twice, and no one really wants to see a fourth fight between them (JDS won the first) so soon. In actual fact, Velasquez has only fought two fighters over his last five fights, JDS three times and Bigfoot Silva twice, so it's really time to mix things up. If JDS were to fall to injury, or the winner of the upcoming Velasquez vs. Werdum to need some time off, Hunt vs. Miocic suddenly becomes a fantastic title eliminator.
