5 Fights For Mark Hunt To Take Next

1. Ben Rothwell

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vojJwSoxTdE Ben Rothwell is the fight that makes the most sense for Mark Hunt, and here's why: Rothwell is on a two-fight win streak, and recently knocked out the Demolition Man, Alistair Overeem. He's now ranked in the top ten at heavyweight in the UFC, and is suddenly looking like a viable contender. However, we don't really knock if that Overeem knockout was luck. Rothwell is good, but is he title contender good? The same goes for Hunt, to be honest. He's a fighter who is barely over .500 in his career. As fans, we love the guy: his fighting style is exactly what we expect of heavyweights, and he always puts on a show. However, he has lost to Junior Dos Santos, a constant top three in the division, and would likely struggle against Cain or Verdum. Rothwell would be a good test, but a passable one, that would vault Hunt into title contention without eliminating another viable contender from the mix. Hunt is a long shot to ever be champion in the UFC, but he's definitely a fighter we can get behind.
