3. Ameer Abdullah, Nebraska (281 carries, 1,690 yards, 9 TDs)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m9JW2FU38rU Like Gordon, another Big Ten running back chose to come back for one final year to accomplish more goals in 2014. Nebraska's Ameer Abdullah, who is actually a close friend of Melvin Gordon, took the reins of the Cornhuskers offense and didn't stop until the final whistle of the season blew. The Junior from Homewood, Alabama improved on a successful 2012 with 1,690 rushing yards in 2013 with 9 scores, including his first career 200-yard game coming in a win over Illinois. Abdullah had 100-yards in every game but two in 2013, worthy of a spot on the All-Conference 1st team and All-American 3rd team. Now that he has elected to come back to Lincoln for one more season in 2014, he just might be able to lead the Huskers back to the Big 10 title game.
