5 Interesting Facts About WSOF 11

4. WSOF 11 Will Be On Network TV

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ImSXjqxmomA The WSOF basically paid their way onto NBC Sports back when they first launched. While president Ray Sefo talked of a multi-fight deal, the network was very non-committal. However, the event was a success, and the WSOF became the little promotion that could. They were more fighter-friendly than number two MMA promotion Bellator, and they had a solid relationship with the UFC. They paid decently, and were soon recognized as the number three MMA promotion in the world. The success of the WSOF wasn't ignored by NBC - this year, for the first time, in a historic new contract, the WSOF will be airing on the main NBC network, potentially viewed by millions. WSOF 11 marks the first of two fights to air on the main channel this year (the other WSOF events will stay on NBC Sports). The deal lasts a full three years. Congrats, WSOF, you've earned it.
