Either way, Brooks won, became the interim champion, and Alvarez was later released. Now, the lightweight title is vacant, and Brooks is rematching the man he just beat to win the interim title. Chandler was supposed to be the new face of Bellator MMA, and if that's still going to happen, he must win here. This will be a five round fight, and should have headlined the card, but Ortiz and Bonnar have bigger names. Don't expect Chandler to sleep on his opponent this time, if that is indeed what happened at Bellator 121. This should be another fantastic fight, and Chandler is capable of rising to the occasion - but Brooks may just be better than we thought.
