5 Positives Of UFC's 2015 Schedule

1. More Fan-Friendly Fights To Occur On Free Television

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=H8Pz32zqblo This positive somewhat correlates to the second positive. That involved the opportunity for fighters to compete at a championship level within five rounds. What it can also do is provide more fan-friendly fights on free television. It was just announced that Stephen €œWonder Boy€ Thompson is facing Brandon Thatch on Fight Night in Feburary. If you€™ve never seen Thatch fight, I€™d strong recommend looking him up. That is a prime example of a bout that will feature an incredible amount of violence. Two vicious strikers that have excellent movement, precise striking, and don€™t look to grapple very often. Many fans always look towards pay-per-view for all the exciting fights. That seems to be changing, due to more events and main events being more spotlighted. With a main event like Anderson Silva vs. Nick Diaz, they won€™t feel the need to completely stack the card. The pay-per-view buy rates will be massive from simply that fight. Joe Lauzon vs. Diego Sanchez won€™t make much of a difference maker on a pay-per-view like that. They can make a difference on Fox Sports 1 or even the main Fox channel for that matter. The UFC has picked up on it, which is why you see stacked cards on main Fox in recent memory. The likes of Junior Dos Santos, Nate Diaz, and Alistair Overeem will be featured on the upcoming event on Fox. With more free events, it comes with more stacked main cards on Fox and entertaining under-the-radar fights on Fox Sports 1.
