Love him or hate him and theres very few fans who dont fall solidly on one side or the other Nick Diaz creates a spectacle every time he puts on the gloves. He feels no fear, throws as many middle fingers as he does punches and genuinely believes he could take Godzilla in a one-on-one. His absence from active competition left a void that no one has stepped up to fill, and his return is huge for the promotion. His opponent is making his hotly-anticipated return to the cage after consecutive middleweight championship losses to Chris Weidman, a man that many feel is still an inferior fighter despite those consecutive victories. Anderson Silva is on the shortlist for the greatest of all-time, and his return to fighting is going to be a gigantic boost for UFCs numbers. The fight itself should be action-packed, with both men being striking experts who will push the pace and remain aggressive. The smart money is on Silva to win and hopefully get back into the title hunt, but if Diaz takes him out it could be just as good for business. This is a matchup where theres literally no bad outcome for Dana White and the Fertittas. And the fans should be in for a real treat.
