5 Reasons To Look Forward To UFC In 2015

4. The Return Of Brock Lesnar

This one isn€™t confirmed, but there€™s some strong evidence to indicate that WWE€™s current heavyweight champion is jumping ship from back from choreographed fighting to the real thing once his contract expires in April after WrestleMania 31. UFC fans were always in two camps when it came to Brock Lesnar: they either resented him as an outsider and relished the opportunity to see him lose, or appreciated him for his no-nonsense persona and the drama of his fights. Either way, any time Brock Lesnar appeared on a UFC event that pay-per-view numbers were huge. UFC has an alarming shortage of significant main event draws on whom they can rely to move the needle, and the return of Brock would go a long way in remedying that. Add in the fact that he says he€™s finally 100% recovered from his bout with diverticulitis (which, admittedly may just be excuse-making), and there€™s good reason to be optimistic for a return. Lesnar with a renewed sense of focus and drive inserted into a heavyweight division that is running out of contenders provides a big boost, and matchups against Travis Browne, Roy Nelson and Junior Dos Santos would all do great numbers, as well as potential rematches vs. Alistair Overeem and Cain Velasquez. Make no mistake about it; the return of The Beast is something to look forward to.
