Despite the drama and hype that led to his arrival at Camp Nou in 2009, Ibrahimovic's time at Barcelona was brief and from his personal point of view, incredibly forgettable. In his book, Zlatan pins most of the reasons why he didn't enjoy his time at Barcelona on one man; then manager Pep Guardiola.

Throughout the Barcelona chapters, Zlatan constantly talked about how he felt suppressed as an individual while at Barca and how Pep's attitude towards him made his life much more difficult. He goes into detail about how Guardiola didn't check up on Zlatan while he was injured, and didn't want to upset the status quo of the team by not having Messi as the star player.

Pep also went months without talking to Zlatan after a locker room argument between the two, which eventually forced the club to sell Zlatan for far less than what they paid just two seasons prior. Zlatan closed his comments on Pep in the book by calling him a 'spineless coward' and comparing him to 'a little caretaker'.
