5 UFC Challengers That Might Beat Jon Jones
Here are five that have as good a chance as any, even if that chance is wedged right in between slim and none.
With the way current UFC Light-Heavyweight Champion Jon Bones Jones has polarised public opinion since his UFC debut in 2008 you could be forgiven for thinking he has Marmite running through his veins. To some he is the greatest fighter on the planet, a pound for pound great who has already cleaned out the UFCs most prestigious - although not most talent rich division. A phenomenal athlete who would excel in whatever sport he chose to apply himself. Thankfully, or not, depending on which side of the fence you sit on he chose Mixed Martial Arts. As is often the case though success breeds contempt. Apparently hes too nice, too good, bad for the sport and as a result a genuine target for internet hatred. When other Champions rarely fight more than twice a year they are lambasted for not being active enough. When Jones smashes four of his divisions top talents in less than twelve months he is considered arrogant for trying to make a statement. The time to admit that there are a section of fans who will hate the Champion no matter what he does came a long time ago. He just cant win. What they really want is for someone to come along and beat him, to take away his title and prove that he isnt on the same level as other pound for pound greats like Anderson Silva and Georges St-Pierre. It is hard to give most fighters a logical shot based on anything more than a punchers chance or anything can happen in the cage. Here are five that have as good a chance as any, even if that chance is wedged right in between slim and none.
