Junior Dos Santos consistently proves that nice guys don’t always finish last. The former world Heavyweight champion refuses to become embroiled in trash talk with his opponents and is considered one of the most humble fighters on the UFC roster.

Once while injured, JDS put on an event for fans and media to meet him and ask questions in a local shopping centre. He is very open about his issues with trash talk and why it isn't for him. He claims he would rather bring good energy into a fight than negativity.

The Brazilian also credits fatherhood for extra motivation. While talking to MMAjunkie, he explained how becoming a dad for the first time had made him more mature and explained that now everything he does is for his son.
